Centennial Society

LMU created the Centennial Society in 2011 to mark 100 years since our founding. The Centennial Society honors and celebrates donors who have contributed a total of $1M or more to the university. Our Centennial Wall Garden, built to recognize society members and commemorate their legacy, stands outside the William H. Hannon Library. As the Centennial Society grows, the wall will expand and encircle the library lawn, standing as a monument to those whose vision, dedication and generosity continues to enable LMU to pursue extraordinary achievements and positively impact our society.

Casassa Legacy Society

The Casassa Legacy Society is a prestigious group of individuals who strengthen and shape Loyola Marymount University for generations to come.

The Casassa Legacy Society is named after the 10th president of then Loyola University of Los Angeles, Charles S. Casassa, S.J.. Father Casassa had a lifelong and distinguished commitment to Ignatian principles, academic excellence and human relations. He served as the president during a period of unparalleled growth, from 1949 to 1969. Under his leadership, the university experienced significant development, including the merger of Loyola University and Marymount College in 1973. He left his legacy to those who carry on the university's important work.

The Casassa Legacy Society recognizes alumni and friends of the university who have designated a gift either in their estate plans or through one of our life income arrangements. Their generosity and vision ensure that future generations of students receive the best education available in the Jesuit and Marymount traditions. If you have included LMU in your testamentary plans or are interested in establishing a planned gift, you are invited to join the Casassa Legacy Society.

Endowments and Scholarships

Athletic Endowment

The athletic endowment enables us to increase the number of endowed scholarships for student-athletes, ensuring the financial aid necessary for a student to attend LMU, compete athletically at a Division I university, and earn an undergraduate degree. Loyola Marymount University Athletics strives to attract the best and brightest student-athletes on a national basis.

Endowed scholarships offer either full or partial tuition, providing eligible student-athletes the opportunity to attend LMU with the assurance of debt relief and career flexibility following graduation. Support of the endowed scholarship fund ensures academically eligible student-athletes the option of a private education, regardless of personal financial circumstances and is awarded at the Athletic Department's discretion.

The donor is recognized in perpetuity as each current student recipient is identified as a scholar in the name of the donor.
