Gersten Pavilion
West Wing Renovation
- $15 million
TO CATAPULT LMU ATHLETICS TO THE NEXT LEVEL OF SUCCESS, a complete renovation of Gersten Pavilion's West Wing would feature a new academic center, new fan seating and enhanced basketball offices. The renovation will support all 400-plus student-athletes, significantly improve our recruiting efforts, broaden our appeal to fans, and grow our visibility in Los Angeles and across the country. The renovation will ensure Gersten is configured to meet the immediate and long-term needs of our student-athletes, coaches and sports programs.

Exterior Improvements
THE EXISTING FACADE OF GERSTEN PAVILION has remained unchanged since its construction in 1981, and has been re-envisioned here with cost-effective, but impactful changes to create more visibility and ease of wayfinding. The new entry will provide a prominent and direct connection to a new Academic Support Center.
New Academic Support Center
THE ACADEMIC SUPPORT CENTER is one of the most important facilities in any athletic department, and especially for LMU's commitment to developing the whole person in mind, body and spirit. Despite the lack of an adequate academic center, LMU boasts a 95 percent graduation success rate, which is third best in California behind only Stanford and Santa Clara, and ranks among the top in the country. The Gersten renovation will provide all 400-plus student-athletes an Academic Support Center on par with our peers at the highest level and be among the best for a non-football school in the country.

New Fan Seating and Coach's Suites
COMPLEMENTING THE RECENTLY REFRESHED COURT will be new fan seating to boost their game experience, capturing the excitement, energy, and intimacy in “Hank's House.” The Gersten renovation will move the coach's suites for men's and women's basketball to overlook the new fan seating and refreshed court, showcasing their visibility to recruits. Offices will be outfitted with the latest video equipment, giving teams an additional meeting space.
